Biography

Marta Rosadas is a PhD student in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biotechnology, Catholic University of Porto. Her research focuses on utilizing byproducts, particularly rabbit skin, to develop innovative treatments for burn wounds. She specializes in tissue engineering techniques, with an emphasis on the decellularization of tissues.

Marta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, both from the Faculty of Biotechnology, UCP. During her Master’s program, she conducted her thesis at CNR NANOTEC in Lecce, Italy, where she explored nanotechnological approaches for skin cancer treatment, from drug nanocarriers to 3D in vitro models.
