Biography

A second year PhD student in Translation Studies in the Portuguese Catholic University, working on the thesis provisionally entitled ‘Translation of Soviet Literature during the Estado Novo. Innovation, Rebellion and/or Propaganda?’. Her research interests include the role of translation as image builder, processes of literary translation and censorship, especially translating Soviet literature into Portuguese. As a translator, she has translated into Portuguese biographical memoirs by Evgénia Iaroslavskaia-Markon (Portuguese Edition 2017: ISBN: 978-989-702-322-4).
