This experience honed his exceptional adaptability, problem-solving and creative skills.

As Microbiologist and researcher at Portuguese Catholic University in 2005, he pioneered innovative systems, including films and coatings, aimed at enhancing the nutritional qualities of food while simultaneously extending its shelf life. This marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to cultivating open-mindedness and creativity in the pursuit of new skills and breakthroughs.

He has (co)-authored 4 patents, over 60 scientific publications in refereed international journals, 2 books, 12 chapters and over 60 communications in national and international conferences; he (co)-supervised 1 post-doctoral, 5 PhD (2 as Supervisor) ,11 MSc and 15 undergraduate students.

Boasting over 17 years of expertise in the realm of innovation, Oscar's journey began with academic applied research and seamlessly transitioned into entrepreneurship and industry involvement, encompassing both B2B and B2C sectors in national and international scenarios. Throughout his career, he has spearheaded numerous R&D projects in collaboration with diverse industry partners, acting as a vital bridge between the academic and industrial sectors.
