Biography

Ph.D. in Comparative Literary Studies from Northwestern University (USA). She holds a Master’s Degree in Literary Studies and a BA in Studies of Languages and Literature, both from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP/Araraquara, Brazil). She collaborates as a Professor and as the Program and Research Assistant and Coordinator at CADOS, Universidade Católica Portuguesa´'s Doctoral School, and as researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC), where she is a member of the research group “Literature and the Global Contemporary”. She has developed research in the fields of Lusophone cultures, with a particular emphasis on Brazil, as well as of transnational literature, poetry and poetics, and Walt Whitman. She has a longstanding record of experience teaching ESL and EFL and has also done work with translation, films, academic and creative writing, and education. Patrícia is also a member of the Ubuntu Leaders Academy’s Scientific Committee.
