Biography

PhD in Audiovisual Communication from the Faculty of Sciences of Information Sciences - Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2015), he's Vice-Dean, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Degree in Cinema at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto). He is also Integrated Researcher and former Deputy Director at CITAR (UCP), where he coordinated the research area of ​​Cinema and Visual Arts (2019-2025). He is a member of the Scientific Association ICONO14 (Spain) and the Screenwriting Research Network. He worked as teacher trainer of the National Cinema Plan between 2015 and 2021. He has several publications and participations in national and international scientific events and projects, on topics such as cinema, screenwriting, narrative, education and creativity. He's the coordinator of the digital film education project “Insert”, funded by FCT (2022-2023). He was one of the coordinators of the books “Aprender del cine: narrative y didáctica” (2014), “Oficios del cine: manual para prácticas cinemas” (2017) and “Fusions in cinema: education, didactics and technology” (2018). Since 2017, he works with UNESCO as an external consultant on activities and projects of the Creative Cities Network. Since 2022 he collaborates with LaCaixa Foundation Fellowships Programme as external evaluator. He worked in cinema and audiovisual in Production and Screenwriting, having also participated in projects in the fields of theater and music. Since 2021 he's a member of the Board of Teatro Experimental do Porto.
