I am currently developing comparative research on the media coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic in Portugal and in the UK as part of a PhD in Communication Studies at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture, Universidade Católica Portuguesa. I have a PhD in Sociology from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. I have participated in various research projects in different institutions (ICS-ULisboa, CIES-ISCTE, CLUL-ULisboa, UNICEE/UCP) and four years of experience in Science and Technology Management (CAPP/ISCSP). I have published in portuguese research journals and contributed one chapter for an international publication. I am currently a communications officer at Instituto de Ciências Sociais (ULisboa). I am also a member of the International Association for Media and Communication Research and the Portuguese Association for Communication Sciences. I was a reviewer for international academic journals.
