Biography

Raquel Campos Franco is Assistant Professor of Strategy at Católica Porto Business School and holds a PhD from the School of Management of the University of Bath, United Kingdom. Raquel has developed pioneering work in the field of nonprofits in Portugal, having led the team that integrated the International Comparative Non-profit Sector Project led by Lester Salamon at Johns Hopkins University. Since then she has developed work for the European Commission and the European Foundation Centre, for Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, for the Centre for Social Investment at the University of Heidelberg and for the Portuguese Foundation Centre, all focused on philanthropy and the non-profit sector. Her present research interests include strategy, social impact, philanthropy, capacity-building of non-profit organisations, as well as cultural and religious diversity and management.
