Ricardo Peixoto graduated in Psychology from the Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada in 2006; completed a Master's in Marriage and Family from the Universidad de Navarra, Pamplona, Spain, in 2008; completed a Master's degree in Psychology, specializing in Family Psychology, from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in 2012; and completed a PhD in Psychology from the University of Porto in 2015.
He began his research work in the field of family relationships, more specifically in couple relationships and the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren. Following the completion of his PhD, he centered his research on psychosocial risks, specifically in the area of Burnout, and is currently focusing on issues related to Digital Burnout. He also conducts research on the Service-Learning methodology, through his involvement in the project to implement this methodology at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
