    Biography

    Rita Tavares de Sousa is a researcher at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a full member of the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE). She holds a European PhD (2021) in Educational Sciences aimed at determining the conditions for success and the obstacles to the articulation between teaching and research in ITE in Portugal and England. During its development, she participated in two mobility programmes: at the University of Cumbria (England), and the University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Her Main research interests relate to teacher education, teaching and teachers' professional development, and the research-teaching nexus. She was involved in several national and international funded projects, namely the national-funded project "Fifty Years of Teaching - Factors of change and intergenerational dialogues" (PTDC/CED-EDG/1039/2021. Currently, she works at Católica Learning Innovation Lab (CLIL). She coordinates the research community of practice IDEAFor (Identity, Democracy, School, Administration, and Training) and is a member of OBVIE (Observatory of Life in Schools). She is author and/or co-author of papers in scientific peer-review journals, most published in journals with impact factor, and book chapters. She has participated in numerous national and international scientific events with oral presentations, and in the organisation of several international scientific events as a member of the Organising Commission and/or Scientific Committee. She is a collaborator member at CEDH.
