Research interests
Rosário Serrão Cunha has a Master degree in Psychology - Specialisation in Psychology of Education and Human Development from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), Porto, Faculty of Education and Psychology. Throughout the bachelor and master degrees, Rosário earned Merit Scholarships from UCP, finishing her Master with an average of 19. Since 2011, Rosário has been collaborating with research projects in the field of Psychology and Education. She defended her master thesis on adolescents perceptions about learning in 2015. During her ERAMUS+ internship, she collaborated with European research projects within the Centre for Resilience and Social & Emotional Health, University of Malta. She was a research fellow in the Project EDUgest - Gestão Escolar e Melhoria nas Escolas [School Management and School Improvement], funded by Fundação Belmiro de Azevedo, for 31 months. She has also worked as a School Psychologist and has teaching experience in undergraduate and master levels in Psychology and Psychology of Education. She is a Junior Researcher at the Research Centre for Human Development (CEDH) where she actively contributes to different studies. Currently, Rosário is enrolled in the International PhD Programme in Applied Psychology: Adaptation and change in contemporary societies - Joint PhD Programme: Universitat Ramon Llull (URL); Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP); Nottingham Trent University (NTU). Her topic of doctoral research is whole-school approach to well-being promotion, with a focus on universal school-based screening process from students to principals.
