Biography

Born in Porto. PhD in History from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2013), after a Master's degree in History (2008) from the same university and a degree in Theology from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2005).  Integrated researcher at the Center for the Study of Religious History at the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP-CEHR). Since 2017 he has been carrying out post-doctoral research on “Leviathan's tonsures: ecclesiastical employees and the liberal State's administration in Portugal (1833-1911)".
