I am an accomplished researcher and product developer with a PhD in biomedical Engineering and background in Pharmaceutical sciences. My expertise focuses in product development and preclinical studies, stem cell biology, and cosmetic industry.
As a product developer, I take immense pride in having successfully led for the research and development of two novel bioactive ingredients for skincare products, resulting in patent application and a commercial product - BioSilica - (https://aprinnova.com/plant-derived-alternative-to-extractive-silica/). Additionally, I am honored to act as the coordinator of a cutting-edge cellular aging platform, for performance analysis of bioactive molecules. My expertise also includes cosmetic formulation and cosmetic clinical trials. Furthermore, I am actively involved in supervising three Ph.D. students, and other students, nurturing the next generation of researchers in the field.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of collaborating with the industry, in vitro and in vivo product validation projects, with a strong focus on regenerative medicine and stem cell research. During that period I am thrilled to have played a key role in several research projects and with companies in the regenerative medicine sector, including Ceramed and Biosckin in new products therapeutic potential and safety analsis. Prepared comprehensive reports for submission to FDA and EMEA, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and addressing all required documentation. Also, supervised several students work and was an invited professor at ICBAS-UP.
