Biography
In 2017, I completed a PhD in Translation Studies at the Centro de Estudos Comparatistas da Universidade de Lisboa (Centre for Comparative Studies of the University of Lisbon). My academic path started with a Bachelor Degree in Applied Interlinguistic Communication at SSLMIT University of Trieste and a Master Degree in Literary and Non-Fiction Translation obtained at the University of Pisa. Italian is my mother language; Portuguese and French are my main study and work languages. In 2014 I took part in the MOV investigation project that integrates the LOCUS group in Center for Comparative Studies of the University of Lisbon, through which I organized a roundtable called «Poetical dialogs: translating poetry between Portugal and Italy» in 2015; I have lectured in free courses on the representation of translators in fiction and I contribute to collective research in Translation Studies. In 2022 I took part in the research group LaGC in UCP where I am developing a project about Ana Hatherly as translator and recreator. I have several oral presentations of my research at international conferences, scientific articles published in academic journals and book chapters published on the topics of my research. Alongside my academic activity, I am a professional translator who translates mostly poetry, but also fiction and essays from French and Portuguese to Italian and from Italian to Portuguese, and a writer with two books published (prose and poetry). I currently work as Italian Language teacher, translator and cultural events producer at Centro Dante Lisboa CRL.
