Biography

Ana Sofia Sousa is Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences (2018) from Faculdade de Farmácia at Universidade do Porto. Since 2019, Sofia has been a CBQF researcher at Bioactives and Bioproducts Research Laboratory. She has been a Researcher Grant in the project MicoBioExtract (POCI-01-0247-FEDER-033939) (2021). In October of 2021, Sofia has integrated into the GASTROCURE project (POCI-01-0145-FEDER-032094). Since March 2022, she has been a PhD student at ESB-UCP and i3S-UP in the Biotechnology doctoral program, working on engineering a multifunctional microparticle targeting colon inflammation. Her main research interests have been Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Nanotechnology, Microbiology, Bioproducts, Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Products.
