Biography
Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist. Her words, photos, and videos have appeared in print or online for The Los Angeles Times, Travel + Leisure, Departures, Tripadvisor, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Journal, Glamour, Real Simple, Southern Living, GlobalPost, TIME, GOOD Magazine, LA Confidential, and more. Though she now specializes in travel and lifestyle reporting, Stacey’s work has covered everything from women’s representation in media, the immigration crisis at the U.S. / Mexico border, criminal justice reform, and cannabis legalization. Beyond writing, Stacey also worked as the social media editor for The Los Angeles Times and served as a consulting social media editor for Travel + Leisure. She regularly works on social media best practices for newsrooms and startups across the country. Stacey was also an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Southern California. There, she taught visual journalism, digital footprint and brand, feature writing, and introduction to online journalism. She is also currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Universidade Católica, with a research focus of building resiliency to misinformation in early-career journalists.
