Biography

Thales Reis Alecrim is a researcher at CECC (Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Cultura) and a doctoral candidate pursuing a PhD in Culture Studies at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Faculty of Human Sciences) with a scholarship from FCT (Fundação para Ciência e Tecnologia). He earned his BA (2017) and MA (2020) degrees in History from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). He also holds an MBA in Communication, Material Culture, and Consumption, which he obtained in 2021 from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). His research focuses on the interplay between Culture, History, Literature, and Music in the neoliberal age. He has a record of publications in academic journals and book chapters.
