Biography

Holds a Master in Marine Sciences - Marine Resources (Biology and Ecology specialisation, 2024) and a Bachelor in Aquatic Environmental Sciences (2023), both from the University of Porto - ICBAS. Developed over fouryears of research experience at CIIMAR, ICBAS, and FFUP, focusing on aquatic organism culture, microalgae and planktonic communities, host-parasite interactions, and molecular tools (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, metabarcoding). Authored one peer-reviewed article, contributed to international congresses with two poster presentations (one awarded 2nd best poster at the 21st EAFP Conference), and collaborated in multidisciplinary projects. Completed an Erasmus+ placement at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) in collaboration with Banco Español de Algas (BEA) and Instituto Universitario de Acuicultura Sostenible y Ecosistemas Marino (IU-ECOAQUA), gaining international and cross-disciplinary experience. Works in the fields of Marine Biology, Aquaculture and Blue Biotechnology.
