Tom Mutsch obtained his BA degree in Multimedia Production and has been professionally active in various fields related to theatre, events, audio & video production for 10 years before the COVID19 pandemic and the resulting impact on the industry made room for continuing his academic aspirations. In 2022, he finished his MA in Communications at the University of Luxembourg. In his MA thesis, Tom investigated connotated or stereotyped imaginations of different communities as they are constructed and displayed in Luxembourgish media. Currently a second year PhD student in Communication Studies at the UCP Lisbon, his research focusses on disconnection practices in multicultural contexts.
