Tom Mutsch holds a BA in Multimedia Production and has spent over a decade working professionally across theatre, events, and audio-visual production. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the industry provided an opportunity to pursue his academic aspirations, leading him to complete an MA in Communications at the University of Luxembourg in 2022. His master's thesis explored the connotations and stereotypes surrounding different communities as represented in Luxembourgish media. Currently a third-year PhD student in Communication Studies at UCP Lisbon, his research takes a qualitative, ethnographic approach to examining (dis)connection practices in the context of digital media and multicultural settings.
