Biography

William Hasselberger (PhD, Philosophy, University of Virginia) is an Associate Professor in the Institute for Political Studies of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), and the Director of the UCP Digital Ethics Laboratory (LED), a center for advanced study of the social and ethical implications of emerging technologies. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia, USA. William's areas of research include ethics, moral psychology, phenomenology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and human-technology relations.
