Biography

Zahide Eylem Gevrek‑Demiray obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Arizona in 2010. She holds Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Arizona and Istanbul Technical University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Middle East Technical University. Prior to joining the Católica Porto Business School, she worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University Konstanz, Germany between 2010 and 2017. Her major research fields of interest include Applied Econometrics, Applied Microeconomics, and Labor Economics with a focus on education, migration, immigrant outcomes, and gender. She has published papers in internationally recognized peer‑reviewed journals including Labour Economics, Public Choice, and Ecological Economics.
