25th of April: continuities, disruptions and recompositions

Project Details

Description

The project aims to study the societal and mental process that took place between 1968 and 1976 and was marked by demographic, political and cultural changes. This process shaped the Portuguese society in terms of economic development and within the process of decolonisation, which shaped identity and imaginaries and the appreciation of a greater citizen participation. The project considers how these changes intertwine with the religious spheres and with the dynamics of resistance and plurality, not only in ideological terms, but also as a product of generational and identity intertwining.
