An Intergenerational Perspective on Public Finances: A Policy Brief

Portugal faces important integrational trade-offs. These trade-offs have been highlighted by thestudy “Finanças Públicas: Uma Perspetiva Intergeracional”. This proposal aims at developing a policy brief that presents and discusses the solutions proposed by the study and the policy options balancing the need for an intergenerational equilibrium and the goal of achieving long-term fiscal sustainability. The policy brief will also discuss policies to counter the effect of aging and their concrete effects on the sustainability of Portuguese public finances.
