Description
The Azorean Encyclopaedia was intended to be as complete and up-to-date a repository of knowledge and information on subjects relating to the Azores as possible.
The project began in 1995, became fully operational in 1996, and was completed in 2008. Artur Teodoro de Matos, Luís Arruda, Luís Pinheiro and Paulo Sousa Pinto were responsible for the management and execution of the encyclopaedia.
This work was carried out in collaboration with the Regional Directorate for Culture of the Autonomous Region of the Azores and is published on the website of this Regional Directorate.
