Cistercian Horizons. Studying and characterising a medieval scriptorium and its production: Alcobaça. Local identities and liturgical uniformity in dialogue

The project aims at the interdisciplinary study of illuminations of liturgical manuscripts produced from the late twelfth century to the early sixteenth century in the scriptorium of Alcobaça through the analysis of material aspects (pigments and decoration of illuminations, binding methods and materials)
