Description

The Project "Convents and Monasteries of Portugal (1096-1901)" (CONVEMOS Project) is the responsibility of the UCP-CEHR Working Group "Religious Orders in Society" and benefits from funding from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, under the programme of support for research projects in the fields of Portuguese Language and Culture - 2018 (Process No. 228806). The aim is to create a database on convents and monasteries in Portugal - CONVEMOS - that gathers information collected from archival, bibliographical and other sources, especially image banks, concerning all the monastic and conventual orders that operated in Portugal between 1096-1910.
