This study focused on the importance of culture as a significant factor in development and wealth creation in Portugal.
There is a need to raise awareness of the link between language, culture and economic development. Indeed, without language playing an active role in relations between people, particularly economic relations, it is difficult for culture to be a significant factor in economic development.
The study was carried out by IPI – Inovação, Projetos e Iniciativas, with the support of the Luso-American Development Foundation and CEPCEP.
The results were published in the book ‘Cultura, Factor de riqueza. Uma nova perspectiva dos museus’, coordinated by Carlos Laranjo Medeiros and published by CEPCEP in the ‘Estudos e Documentos’ collection.
