Description

[Associated Axes: RR1 and RR2]: Our «Italian Lessons» call together several Italian scholars to talk about «Profiles of humanism in post-secular society». Today there is a broad consensus that in order to reactivate the great Italian tradition of humanism it is necessary to renounce a unified and exhaustive definition of what Man is. To this end it is necessary to critically and collaboratively elaborate different dimensions and perspectives of human self-understanding, determined by differences of gender, as well of religious, social, cultural belonging, rather than working in solitude, enclosed within one's disciplinary area and within its own axiological citadel. Dialogue of humanisms is the keyword of the new humanism still to be built in this stormy beginning of the third millennium. With financial support from the Italian Institute of Culture of Lisbon.
