Using consumer psychology to promote healthier meal choices through mobile app useBreve descrição do projetoE-PRIMEMEAL investigates the effectiveness of digitally-mediated, behavioral changeinterventions in promoting consumers? self-regulation of healthy food shopping andmeal preparation habits. Its ultimate goal is to design, develop and validate a set ofengaging mobile app functionalities, based on tailored behavioral change techniques,which successfully and sustainably stimulate healthy eating among different consumergroups and thereby help fight the obesity epidemic. To this end, a multidisciplinary teamof Portuguese and French academics, with high expertise in psychology (consumer,health, social, cognitive), sociology, nutrition (food science, dietetics, neurobiology& neurophysiology), behaviour change and public health will work together with ahighly specialized marketing agency (social networked media, digital content, softwaredevelopment) in Lisbon in a sequential R&DI process. Outcomes are a functional app &database of crosscultural interventions feeding future studies.
