Description
The Digital Creativity Center (CCD), is a center of competence and creative excellence with an infrastructure equipped with cutting edge technology in the areas of Digital and Interactive Arts, Computer Music, Sound Design, Cinema and Audiovisual arts and Computer Animation. CCD has enabled and continues to provide an unique environment and support facilities for the development of an increasing number of academic, artistic and enterprise research projects events production. Activities
The CCD offers specialized services, such as Motion Capture (MoCap) sessions, sound and music recording/ design and postproduction, video recording and postproduction, digital and Interactive arts consulting and project development, event production and organization. These involve CCD researchers and technicians, any necessary facilities and equipment, as well as any required custom hardware or software development, depending on the specificities of each project. CCD has an annual Artistic Residencies program for developing research and artistic work in the areas it supports. These foster knowledge transfer and contemporary creation. All Residencies culminate with a public presentation/exhibition, promoting thus the engagement and connection with the Cultural and Artistic Community in the northern region of Portugal. CCD is also directly involved in Research, currently supporting ongoing PhD thesis and several research projects for Research Center as CITAR-UCP.
