Project Details
Description
SalivaTec has been developing saliva tests for diagnostic support since 2014. In the last year, it has validated saliva tests for the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 which are available as a clinical analysis service at the Laboratory - University Dental Clinic of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (certified by the Health Regulatory Authority - ERS:153243).
The Saliva for Precision Diagnosis (SPRINT) project will establish proofs of concept validated and demonstrated in a clinical environment, which are new saliva tests to identify and quantify molecules of interest for the non-invasive and personalized diagnosis and monitoring of prevalent oral pathologies such as caries, periodontal disease and oral cancer.
With SPRINT, new diagnostic support tests will be made available at the University Dental Laboratory-Clinic, thus contributing to the practice of Precision Dentistry and improving Oral Health.
