Description

IBD is an intestinal chronic inflammation disorder diagnosed by highly invasive protocols (endoscopy, colonoscopy, and gastrointestinal tract sampling). SalivaBiomark4IBD aims to gain further insight on salivary biomarkers and provide alternatives for early diagnosis and regular monitoring of IBD patients. A comprehensive study on the characterization of oral microbiome from IBD patients, the profile of inflammatory molecules and calprotectin and miRNA expression
profile will be performed.
