Project Details

Description

The visual project "We should all be pioneers!" is a research project conducted by CECC's doctoral researcher Zohar Iancu, and is integrated on the work that she has been pursuing in the aim of her PhD thesis on Borders, symbolic boundaries, and Israeli immigration to Portugal. Similarly to A Portrait of a Woman: Israelis in Alentejo - A visual research collaboration, this second sub-project is based on a collaboration model established between academic research and artistic creation, and is taking place between Israel and Portugal as well. In this case, Zohar Iancu has been collaborating with clothing designer and visual artist Assia Weissberg. Israeli photographer Itzik Mor is responsible for the photographs taken in Portugal.
