Abstract
The article presented results of the work we’ve been developing focused on the evaluation of the impact of post-graduated training of teachers. This study emerges from a wider investigation with the purpose to evaluate the implications of the teachers post-graduated training in the schools where they teach, understanding their distribution, characterization and responsibilities as well as the implications of this training to improve both Education and School. With the intent to continue this line of research, this study is now in one of his foreseen stages which requires the realisation of case studies to deeply understand some of the identified realities. In this regard is the main goal of this research to study the impact that attending post-graduated courses had in a group of primary and secondary education teachers professionally situated in two groups of schools in Portugal. Because there is a lack of research in the area and an increase of the number of teachers who attend to post-graduated courses, we intend to determine possible impacts of this training, using a qualitative methodology in which documentary analysis and interview are the main data collection technics. As this is an ongoing research, we will present some preliminary results that will be confronted with broader results of this investigation. There will also be presented the theoretical foundations that support the study and the methodological procedures concerned.
