Abstract
Social media monitoring techniques collect, storage and provide automated
reports on UGC on the Internet. This paper investigates the possibility of
organizing knowledge about the social media monitoring techniques through
referrals, “quote” on the Internet, in the current context. The hypothesis is that
this kind of knowledge outlines similar behavior of a “long tail”. Methodology:
hyperlinks analysis applied to intentional sample of 10,642 links sub-sample of
sixteen hundred links. Results showed 2,139 citations techniques while there
quotes concentrations that target only 25% of them.
