Abstract
This study aimed to understand and deepen the experience of the Sines Reading Method, applied in the Sines School Group, with the intention of disseminating the methodology and creating a work team to develop more modern and attractive educational resources. The study also aims to systematize a guidance tool for teachers in the region and promote a learning community in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. The Sines Reading Method arose from the need of teachers at the Sines School Group to improve students' reading and writing skills, creating an approach adapted to their needs. The method involves the student in creating their own reading book, placing them at the center of the teaching and learning process, which helps to develop their interest and commitment to reading. The study is structured in three chapters: the first addresses the Theoretical Framework, the second describes the Methodology of the case study, and the third presents the analysis of data on the experience of the method over more than 20 years, highlighting its characteristics, advantages, challenges and future perspectives.
