A indizibilidade do mistério: uma leitura wittgensteiniana de uma alegoria hindu

This paper aims to analyzing the figure of language extracted from an ancient Hindu tale which is founded in the Prince Fjort‟ Tales. It will be applied to the Mystery´s idea from the Wittgenstein Philosophy of Language. This well-known allegory of the Indian masters illustrates a situation in which four blind men present their arguments as incontestable truths causing an impasse in the understanding of the „elephant‟ phenomenon. Discourses contradict each other because they deal with facets of reality in which the particular is treated as universal, or even to think that this category can be composed in such a way that if the „perceptions‟ of the blind were combined, there would be the possibility of composing the „everything‟. Such an allegory may offer an illustration of the conditions of possibilities of comprehension and aesthetic reception of the being of language.
