Abstract
This article aims to discuss the concept of intimate listening by analyzing the characteristics of sound recording in the field of electroacoustic music, as elaborated by Denise Garcia, and sound surveillance, as explored by Dimitrios Pavlounis. These analyses are updated and related to Helle Klausen's studies on the binaural recording and reproduction of audio in ASMR content and in the works of artsoundveillance created by the author of this article. It is considered that intimate listening can be observed as a sound poetics in sound art, where sensory immersion is enhanced by the binaural recording of sounds.
