Abstract
The holding of shares or voting rights on behalf of a third person is a well-known legal concept of several branches of business law, being namely provided for in the Companies Act and the Securities Act. This paper aims at presenting a brief analysis of the main aspects of such a concept, including its scope of application, its requirements, and its main forms.
