Abstract

The opportunity to do a doctorate in Education Sciences was due to the necessity of training of UCM professors and to the desire of UCP in collaborate actively in the development of the teaching staff at the sister institution. The organization of the doctoral program in Nampula, with professors from UCP, involved the conception of a training model that would ensure that the curriculum developed in Portugal was, also in this context, fully complied. Therefore, taking into account the total teaching hours it wouldn't be possible to do it through face to face classes. So, was defined a model of distance learning, a blended learning system, which included two weeks of tutorial classes at the beginning of each semester and online training between face to face sessions. The planning and the curriculum development included carrying out scheduled activities focused on Mozambican reality.
