Projeto ABioNet: criação de uma rede de excelência em ciência e tecnologia de bioprodutos na Arménia

Agriculture is one of the most important economic sectors in Armenia. Bioproducts having gained prominence for their ability to consider the entire life cycle of the product, from its agricultural origin to its general renewability, through environmental sustainability. In this context, the development of new empirical approaches to capture the complex set of interactions between science and technology seems particularly important. The objective of this work is to describe the ABioNet Project - Armenian Network of Excellence in Bio-products Science and Technology - as a model for creating bridges between Education, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. ABioNet aimed to: develop online courses in the area of science and technology of bioproducts; modernizing the training offer at Armenian universities; create a network of excellence in bioproduct science and technology between Armenia and Europe; foster the entrepreneurial spirit among students in the area of bioproducts and stakeholders; create a community of practice in the science and technology of bioproducts. Thus, ABioNet will allow the establishment of a multidisciplinary network between Armenian and European research centers, departments and laboratories to promote education in science and technology of bioproducts through an effective communication and management circuit between all participating universities and stakeholders.
