Abstract
from Macbeth by William Shakespeare
11 to 16 February 2025
Auditorium of CRL - Central Elétrica,
Porto Cultural Centre
TUP - TEATRO UNIVERSITÁRIO DO PORTO presents:
AMANHÃ AMANHÃ AMANHÃ is a show about the dream that one day we will be able to slowly, ineluctably, cruelly and ruthlessly drive our leaders to madness; to kill their sleep, to make them afraid to go out on the street, afraid of losing their jobs, of running out of money, position, respect, power. Fear of not being able to choose the house they want on the street they like. Fear of having to start buying their food at Minipreço.
This show is also about people - silent in William Shakespeare's Macbeth - who have claimed for themselves the power to destroy not one king, but a whole line (several lines) of kings until the monarchy is completely destroyed. Without wanting a new form of power for themselves, without proposing a new form of governance.
