Abstract
Sacred art issues arise in form of cultural urgency, even before its religious ‘confession’. There is plenty of texts on the subject. Howe- ver, the literature range, no doubt worthy, not have matched a par in terms of artistic achie- vements. This shortage is due to factors of various kinds. There are more delicate subs- tantive reasons than in terms of economics or style. Therefore, this work will have the merit of presenting (synthetically, because suppor- ted by images) an extended series of liturgical works of art produced over the last decade by a multidisciplinary team of artists (Ilda David’, Manuel Rosa, Lourdes Castro, Asbjörn Andre- sen, Helena Cardoso, Lisa Sigfridsson, Cere- jeira Fontes Arquitetos) in collaboration with artisans from various areas and a theologian. The perspective adopted is that of the one who loves what he does, while creating, referring to the beauty of creation.
