Abstract
Who is the author of a film for the general public? This was the question that started the follow research extract. A question which, during a first contact, appears to have just a content of mere inquiry for knowledge, but in reality entails a hidden weight when the problem is placed side by side with other theoretical fields. Through a survey of investigations within areas such as Sociology of Media, Cultural Studies, Marketing and Advertising, Psychology and Film Studies were analysed all the factors that can lead viewers to see a film and to assign a status of author to one or more particular members that contribute to the construction of a cinematographic work. A model has been created which can be applied to any type of spectator, be it occasional, fan or even a specialist. This aims to translate the communicational, intrapersonal and interpersonal habits, as well as the collective and individual consciousness of the viewer around cinema, finding the persuasive points of opinion formation that refer to the creation of the authorship idea, also taking into account the individuality of each person.
