Abstract
Entering higher education is a process that reflects emotional and personal challenges that may turn out to be academic failure. The Military Academy of the Portuguese Army consolidated the concern with this issue, through a program that seeks to provide cognitive and behavioral skills to cadets-students. The present study of this descriptive, exploratory and qualitative study is to understand the impact of the C2C program: peer support training program. The sample consisted of 28 participants. Participants responded to a semi-structured interview and the results revealed that the participants became aware that they had acquired skills in the area of interpersonal communication and self-knowledge and the program was an opportunity for personal development and fulfillment as well as an opportunity to help others.
