Abstract

Through the implementation of an Integral State of corporatist jurisdiction, the Brazilian Integralist Action (Ação Integralista Brasileira - AIB) anticipated the solution for national problems and disputes, especially those originated by socialism and liberalism. This study analyses how the corporatist matter was depicted in the writings of the three main intellectuals and leaders of the movement (Plínio Salgado, Gustavo Barroso and Miguel Reale), and how Integralism interacted with the Estado Novo of Getúlio Vargas.
