Breast cancer in young women: understanding our reality

Abstract

Background: Breast cancer (BC) diagnosis among women aged under 45 reached an all-time high. Breast cancer in young women are typically more aggressive, and less likely to respond to Standard treatment. Most of these patients are candidates to Chemotherapy. (CTh) Routine screening is not recommended for women younger than 40.
