As instituições particulares de solidariedade social (IPSS) encontram-se disseminadas por todo o território nacional, consubstanciando-se como importante e muitas vezes decisivo recurso de apoio e proteção social de proximidade às populações. As Atividades Socialmente Úteis, enquadradas na lei, são desenvolvidas a favor de entidades sem fins lucrativos ou do setor da economia social. Não obstante o carácter ainda embrionário relativamente à entrada em funcionamento da medida em apreço, desenvolve-se aqui uma breve análise sobre a implementação destas atividades como pistas para a investigação mais aprofundada neste domínio. Private institutions of social solidarity (PISS) are disseminated throughout the national territory, constituting itself as important and often decisive resource of support and social protection of proximity to the populations. At Socially Useful Activities, framed by law, are developed in favor of non-profit entities or the information sector social economy. Despite the character still embryonic in relation to the entry into operation of the measure in question, a brief analysis is carried out here on the implementation of these activities as clues for further investigation in this field.
