Abstract

We applied “solvent engineering” (i.e. variation of environmental conditions) to and/or immobilized Bacillus Iicheniformis α-amylase covalently onto porous glass beads. In this way, important alterations in its thermostability characteristics (kinactEAinact) were achieved.
