Abstract
This research aims at the climate and the job satisfaction in an autarchy of the north of Portugal. The sample is made up of 129 employees, two instruments were applied - Social Workplace Scale and Work Satisfaction Questionnaire 20/23. The results indicate that the organizational climate is influenced by job satisfaction, especially the satisfaction with supervision, which proves to be a predictor of the organizational climate in all subscales analysed, also indicate that the two constructs are influenced by the organizational variables, standing out between these, the departments of belonging. The results of this research, in addition to emphasizing the importance of employees' job satisfaction in an organizational context and their relationship with the organizational climate, also demonstrates the importance of the organizational diagnosis and the personal and organizational benefits that follow.
